The biggest feature we've ever shipped is live: Lead Storm Monitor with built-in canvassing tools.
Every roofing contractor knows the feeling. A storm rolls through your territory overnight. By morning, you're scrambling to figure out which of your leads got hit — cross-referencing addresses against storm reports, checking radar screenshots, making calls. Meanwhile, three other crews are already knocking on those same doors.
That problem is now solved.
What Is Lead Storm Monitor?
Lead Storm Monitor is a new feature inside THOR Storm Mapper that connects your existing lead database directly to live NOAA storm data. Upload your leads once — from Spotio, Salesforce, JobNimbus, or any CSV file — and THOR watches every address around the clock. The moment a qualifying storm event (hail, tornado, or high wind) hits within your configured radius, you receive a push notification and email with the exact leads affected, the storm severity, and a one-tap link to drive there.
How It Works
- Import from any CRM — THOR auto-detects Spotio, Salesforce, JobNimbus, or any CSV formats. Column mapping is automatic. Duplicates are skipped silently.
- Set your monitoring radius — choose a local 1–5 mile radius or the fixed 25-mile Area Monitor. Storms outside the selected radius do not trigger that lead alert.
- Severity thresholds — set minimum severity per event type. Only want to be alerted for hail 1.00" or larger? Done. Tornado EF1+? Done. Wind 58 mph+? Done.
- Consolidated alerts — if five leads get hit in the same storm window, you get one consolidated notification, not five. No spam.
- Storm Hits tab — every lead that has been hit since you added it is logged in the Storm Hits tab with the event details, severity, and a call button.
Canvassing Built Right Into the Map
Lead Storm Monitor isn't just about alerts — it's a full canvassing workflow. Every lead appears as an orange pin on the map. Long-press anywhere to drop a new lead pin on the spot. Each pin shows a disposition emoji so you can see the status of every address at a glance:
- 📍 New — just added, not yet contacted
- 📞 Contacted — you've reached out
- 📅 Scheduled — inspection or appointment set
- ✅ Sold — job closed
- ❌ Lost — not moving forward
Tap any pin to open the lead card: call button, drive there button, property report generation, monitoring toggle, radius slider, and severity selector — all in one place. The emojis are fully customizable per user in the Lead Monitor settings.
Apply Settings to Your Entire Lead Base in One Click
If you have hundreds of leads, you don't want to configure each one individually. The Settings tab in Lead Monitor includes an Apply to All Existing Leads button that pushes your default radius, severity thresholds, and monitoring toggle to every lead at once.
Admin Export
Admins can view and export all users' leads from the admin panel — useful for team oversight and CRM sync.
Who This Is For
If you're a roofing contractor, storm chaser, or public adjuster with an existing lead list, this feature was built specifically for you. The average storm season produces dozens of events across your territory. With Lead Storm Monitor, you'll know within minutes which of your prospects just got hit — and you'll be at the door before anyone else.
Lead Storm Monitor is available now on all THOR Storm Mapper plans. Start your free trial to try it today.
