The July 2026 update to THOR Storm Mapper is focused on one thing: getting storm data out of the app and into the tools you already use. Whether that is CoreLogic, SalesRabbit, Spotio, Near Map, or a plain Excel spreadsheet, you can now pull a clean, filtered export in seconds and drop it directly into your workflow.
CSV & KML Export — State-Level Storm Data on Demand
The new Export panel lets you select any U.S. state and download every storm event THOR has on record for that geography. The export is fully filtered: choose Tornado, Hail, Wind, or any combination. Set a minimum severity from Minor through Catastrophic. Pick a time window from the last 7 days all the way back to the full historical archive. Then hit Download.
CSV exports are formatted for direct import into CRM and canvassing platforms. Every row includes latitude, longitude, event type, hail size (inches), wind speed (mph), EF rating for tornadoes, county, state, ZIP code, and date. Drop the file into CoreLogic, SalesRabbit, or Spotio and your canvassing list is ready to go.
KML exports load as color-coded severity pins in Near Map and Google Earth. Open the file on top of aerial imagery and you can visually confirm roof damage at every event location before dispatching an adjuster or crew.
Time Range Presets — 7D, 30D, 90D, 1Y, ALL
The export panel now includes five time range presets. The 7-day window is ideal for targeting fresh storm damage in the immediate post-event window. The 30-day default covers a full month of activity for weekly canvassing planning. The 90-day and 1-year windows support market research and historical analysis. The ALL option pulls every event in the THOR database for the selected state.
Type & Severity Filters
Not every job type is relevant to every contractor. A roofing crew focused on hail damage does not need tornado or wind data cluttering their canvassing list. A public adjuster working large-loss commercial claims wants Extreme and Catastrophic events only. The type checkboxes and severity selector let you narrow the export to exactly the events that match your business model.
